The Beverly Vista School community is unified in its vision that all students are humane, thinking, productive citizens.

Collaboration at Beverly Vista School is a dynamic process that involves administrators, school staff, parents, and community members. The collaboration process begins with a clearly articulated interdisciplinary curriculum and student centered active learning. To ensure student achievement, our curriculum is aligned with national, state and local standards, and is assessed and monitored frequently.

Through ongoing assessment, students' strengths and weaknesses are identified so that all members of the school community work together to enhance student achievement toward specified goals.

Our scope and sequence curriculum guides are designed and utilized by all educators at each subject area and grade level. These guides prioritize standards to ensure a more consistent instructional program and provide guidance to parents and teachers to develop a course of instruction to meet the ongoing needs of the students. In these guides, we have identified standards in the following levels of proficiency: Enduring (mastered by all students at 75 % proficiency level); Important (mastered by most students at 75 % proficiency level) and Familiar (introduced to all students, reinforced and mastered at future grade levels).
